Kazakhstan’s Parliament approves law allowing seizure of farmland, forest land for reservoir construction

ASTANA. June 19 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakhstan’s Senate on Thursday passed a law permitting the seizure of agricultural and forest land for the construction of reservoirs and protective structures against mudflows, landslides, and avalanches.
